I had learned to listen to clients more than I speak. I had learned to drop my ego to bridge the gap between the client's vision and their reality. I've learned that designs require a combination of magic and process. I've learned that even in the forgotten remnants of your grandparent's inherited dresser, with a little bit of thoughtfulness, feelings of belonging can shine through again and fit into your new space.
